Yesterday, Elliot and I got to visit the Tesla Motors factory, in Fremont, Ca. Tesla doesn't give many tours, and we were thrilled to get a last-minute invitation as part of a tour hosted by BlackRock. (BlackRock just announced a landmark collaboration with FTSE and the NRDC to create a fossil-free index fund.)
Unfortunately, Tesla doesn't allow cameras in the factory. (You can imagine how tempted I was to whip out my camera!) But they did let us take a few shots in the showroom afterwards. And, of course, we got to take a test drive.
